Scheinman currently directs the cardiac genetic arrhythmia program, which is devoted to discovering new genes related to heart rhythm disorders. Scheinman grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and earned an undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated first in his class.
